Hi Johnny,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you for bringing this question to us!
Pat yourself on the back for thinking to check the weather before you arrive at the
Walt Disney World Resort. We have found the weather to be somewhat unpredictable. On a prior trip, I checked the weather a few weeks before our trip and it looked like rain every day but as we got closer to the trip, the rain chances continued to decrease. While we were there, there was not one drop of rain. On another trip, we had scattered thunderstorms every evening.
I suggest that you bring rain ponchos, lightweight jackets with hoods, and umbrellas. My husband and I pack the ponchos and umbrellas in book bags that we carry every day. The ponchos often come in handy when the rain is heavy but not a downpour. If we get caught in a downpour, I pull out the umbrellas. If there is rain and wind, sometimes a jacket works better than a poncho.
Rain has never ruined our experiences in the park. Lots of rides and attractions are indoors, so we put on our rain gear and keep it moving! After all, we still have
Fast Pass+ and
Dining Reservations to make! I also bring lightweight sweaters. If we get caught in the rain and our jackets get wet, we have something dry to change into when we go into a restaurant. Restaurants can be chilly.
Keep checking the weather forecast because it could change. I hope you have a magical time!
