Hi! We are arriving tomorrow and leaving Sunday. Looks like the weather will be mostly rain except for Friday! What are some fun indoor places to visit instead of WDW if they weather is bad? Thanks

Hi Laura!  Well that is not good news when you are planning a trip to Walt Disney World and the weatherman says rain the whole time!  But I can assure you I have experienced Walt Disney World in massive rain storms and had just as much fun.

My first suggestion is to not think you have to stay indoors just because of the rain. Dress appropriately for the temperature and then buy a couple of the Disney ponchos and head out to the parks. You will find lines remarkably shorter then normal and you will have the opportunity to enjoy more on a rainy day then a sunny day due to smaller crowds.  Inside each of the parks you will find many, many indoor attractions. The Magic Kingdom will have Mickey's Philharmagic, Country Bear Jamboree, Space Mountain and many more. Most of the attractions might have lines outside but under cover with the ride taking place inside.  Animal Kingdom has shows such as Nemo and Lion King which are under cover and the safari can be interesting watching the animals in the rain. Epcot has inside movies in the World Showcase Pavilions such as France, China, and Canada and with the exception of Test Track the Future World attractions are indoors. Hollywood Studios as well have most of the attractions indoors except Lights, Motor, Action Stunt Show.

Downtown Disney has many linked stores where you won't have to go outside and as of right now Disney Quest is open and full of great interactive things for all ages to do. You might also enjoy a game of bowling at Splitsville or take in a movie at the AMC theater. Just know that on rainy days all of these Disney Spring activities will be popular and you might find lines.

Enjoy the parks and all that Disney has to offer. You will be making rainy day memories that can't be beat. I love and cherish my pictures of the kids in their ponchos with smiles on their faces. Stay safe, stay warm, and enjoy the magic!
