We will be arriving on Thanksgiving with a large group of relatives, staying at PORS. We are using Disney transportation. My family is leaving on Monday, my husband and I are staying longer. How do we arrange transportation to the Contemporary on Monday?

Hi Julie! If I understand correctly, you and your husband will be transferring from the Port Orleans Riverside to the Contemporary Resort after the rest of your family leaves?

All you'll need to do when you check-out of the Riverside, is give your luggage to Bell Services. Ask them to transfer your luggage to the Contemporary for you. They will give you transfer tags and you'll be all set. You can then go enjoy your day in whichever Park you choose. At the end of your day, take Disney Transportation to the Contemporary instead of the Riverside. Your luggage will be waiting for you when you get there. If you were wanting to go straight to the Contemporary instead of visiting a Park, you still will have the Bell Desk transfer your bags. You can then take a bus to the Magic Kingdom (or Epcot) and jump on the monorail to the Contemporary. Disney will take care of your bags for you.

One tip regarding the luggage: If you are planning on having a Bell Services person come to your room to get your bags (as opposed to bringing them to the desk yourself), call the night before. You can arrange for a pick-up time in advance. Years ago, we weren't aware of this. We called them when we were ready, and we ended up having to wait an hour for a bellman. You have to be present when they pick up your luggage for a transfer because you are signing off that they have retrieved the correct amount of bags from you. So, simply arrange the night before and it should go smoothly for you.

Hope this helps and that you enjoy your magical vacation!
