Arriving 12-22, staying at the Swan and want to go right to MK. Keep reading how you must arrive early to not get shut out. Will staying on property allow us to get in even if park is turning others away? Thanks! Love this site!

Panelist Bret's post HERE does the best job of describing the procedures Disney puts into place during high crowd-level times. In answer to your question, yes, guests staying at a Disney resort do have a bit of an advantage in gaining admittance into the park. There does, however, VERY RARELY come a time when NO additional guests will be let into the park. To avoid this happening to you, my advice is to ARRIVE EARLY. And while 95% of the time I recommend that guests leave the park for a mid-day break. I do not recommend this during Christmas/New Years week or July 4th week. During those high-crowd times, once you're in the park, you should stay in the park. This ensures that you will not be shut-out upon your return.

    Good luck!
