We are arriving September 14 to Epcot we are staying off site. I purchased my tickets and received a barcode what do I do when I get to the park? Do I check in with someone? Do I get a magic band? Thanks

    Hi Elizabeth,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. We on the panel love helping guests to plan magical vacations!

We had exactly your situation occur recently when we visited Walt Disney World with some friends earlier this summer. They had purchased Disney theme park tickets from home and had received e-mails with a barcode. When we arrived at our first theme park, Disney's Animal Kingdom, we headed to the windows for purchasing tickets. There, they showed their barcodes and were given a card that is the size and shape of a credit card. This was their ticket, and could be used for theme park entry, to redeem Disney FastPass+ selections, and so on. Since you are not staying at Walt Disney World you will not receive a MagicBand included; however, you can purchase one and link your tickets to it. You can also simply use the card that you are issued as well.

Since you are heading to Epcot in September, do check out the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. This fun festival offers so much to experience, including kiosks with delicious food from around the world, culinary demonstrations, concerts, and so much more. It is one of my favorite festivals at Walt Disney World!

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Elizabeth. Please do let us know if you have any further questions!
