We will be arriving about 7:30 pm. Using ME from MCO. I am uncertain if I should get my own luggage or let Disney transport it. If I put the yellow tags on before checking bags, can I change my mind and still get them myself? Are they pulled "behind s

    Hi Deborah,

When you put the yellow tags on the bags and check them at your home airport you committed to Magical Express delivery. The yellow tags are an indicator to airport staff at Orlando International to pull you bags behind the scenes. If your bags have the yellow tags, then they won't make it out to the luggage carousel.  You would have no opportunity to get them yourself.

I have had Magical Express deliver my luggage with the yellow tags. The service typically takes 3-4 hours to deliver your bags to your room, but it can sometimes take even longer. Personally, I've had the best experience from a comfort perspective when I've used Magical Express luggage deliver when I've arrived at WDW in the morning. If you get to Disney at noon and then go out to explore the parks, you'll find that your bags are in your room when you return late in the date - that's a fun and time-saving service. However, if you arrive in the evening, mostly what you want to do is eat and go to bed. If you get to WDW at 8:00 p.m. you're just waiting around for them to deliver the suitcase with your pajamas - this is less fun, particularly if you have small kids.

If I were in your shoes, I'd get the bags myself and then take them to the Magical Express bus check-in myself. This way you know that your bags are with you and you'll be on your own timetable in the evening.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
