We are arriving to the MCO airport at 8:40 pm, and would like to shop and have dinner at Disney Springs that night. Will we have time for all that? How long should we plan for travel to take (Disney's Magical Express and bus transport from resort)?

    Hi Courtney!

Congratulations on your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World! We had a similar situation recently in which we arrive late at night and we wanted to grab a bite to eat when we arrived.

We typically like to allow at least one hour to get from the airport to the resort. You will also want to factor in travel time from the gate, to the Magical Express area, and of course the time it takes to get off the plane.

I anticipate that you will arrive at your resort close to 10:30 p.m. and then you will need to check in and get your luggage to your room.

Disney Springs has several restaurants that are open late, such as House of Blues, which closes at 10:00 p.m. and Paddlefish, which serves dinner until 11:00 p.m.

However, I think it will be pushing it for you to get to Disney Springs in time to shop and eat that night. If you rent a car and drive directly from the airport to Disney Springs, and wait to check into your resort until after dinner, you can probably make it in time to dine and shop. However, with Magical Express and factoring in the time for check-in and then getting from your resort to Disney Springs, I don't think there is enough time.

You can plan to dine at your resort when you arrive and then rest so you can get up bright and early the next day to enjoy the parks!

    Magically,
