Hi! We will be arriving late after noon on July 4th. We don't plan on going to a park that day. Can anyone recommend a good place to have dinner and see fireworks (quick service or table). Kids are 9 and 14. We do have the dining plan. Thanks!

Hello Kathy, welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Although three of the parks have a fireworks display every night, Walt Disney World hosts a special tribute on the Fourth of July. Don't worry, because even if you are not planning to enjoy one of the parks on your arrival day, there are still opportunities to catch the show.

I recommend scheduling a reservation for the California Grill. This signature dining experience is located on the 15th floor of Disney's Contemporary Resort. It has a panoramic view and is a fabulous location for viewing the fireworks at Magic Kingdom. If you schedule your dinner for around 8:30 or 9:00 PM EST you can experience the magic as the lights are lowered and the music is played at the start of the show. Because this is a signature dining experience it is worth 2 Table Service dining entitlements on your Disney Dining Plan.

Another great option is 'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. You can make an early dinner reservation at this Hawaiian-inspired restaurant and after your meal you can stroll down to the white-sand beach and wait for the show to begin.

You can also reserve an early dinner at 1900 Park Fare at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and head down to the beach after your meal for the show. 1900 Park Fare is a Character Dining Experience, so if you are interested in this option, I suggest planning on spending a little extra time here so that all of the characters can make it to your table, and you can make it to the beach in time for the show.

There are a few more options, however I am running out of space. If you need any extra ideas, I'd be happy to help. Have a magical Fourth of July!
