Arriving Jan 10 for our 1st family trip to Disney, yeah! Wondering about tipping & the dining plan. We are on the plan that gives us 1CS, 1TS & 1 snack a day. For our table service meals, do we need to tip? I heard you only tip on alcohol.

Hi Wendy! You'll soon be enjoying yourself at Disney World! We are big users of the Dining Plan too. I love the convenience, and the basic plan that includes one counter service, one table service and a snack a day is the perfect amount of food for us! Tipping at full service restaurants is totally at your discretion, but know that the cast members, like servers in other restaurants, rely on gratuities. At the end of the meal, you'll notice suggested tip amounts of 18% and 20% of your total bill, not just the alcohol portion, posted on your receipt. You are in no way obligated to tip this amount, these are suggested amounts. You can pay the gratuity as well as any additional charges such as alcoholic beverages in cash, with a credit card or have the amount charged to your Key to the World card if you have added charging privileges to it. If your party is six or more, then 18% will automatically be added to your bill.

I hope this help. Wishing you a magical vacation Wendy!
