Arriving 8/1 w/ 2 girls for their first visit. I know there are 1st visit buttons at the hotel. Does each park have their own distinct 1st buttons or are they all the same? Any other 1st mementos or activities that are available?

Hi there Thomas and CONGRATS on your daughters' first Disney vacation!  Disney is ALL about celebrating and a first visit is the ULTIMATE celebration!  You guys are in for a real treat and I am so excited to help you plan this magical vacation!

You are correct about the 1st visit buttons!  These are complimentary and can be picked up at your resort, in the parks, or by asking any cast member.  There is currently only one "First Visit" design, but I think it would be really neat to see the resorts each have their own design.

To further commemorate this first visit, you can purchase the Mouse Ears of your choice and have them embroidered in the Magic Kingdom or at Downtown Disney!  There are also special autograph books and picture frames available in the shops.

You should also consider purchasing a package from Disney's PhotoPass®.  Photographers around the parks and resorts are on hand to digitally capture all of your magical moments and all of these images can be conveniently added to a CD for one low price!  You can edit and customize these photos with "first visit" banners too!

Here's a neat DIY idea:  Buy an 8x10 photo mat prior to your arrival and use a Sharpie to write "My family's first Disney vacation" on the front.  Have each character autograph the mat and use it to frame a family photo taken in front of Cinderella Castle!  I have one hanging on my wall right now!

    Best Wishes,
