We are arriving in a few weeks at port Orleans riverside. We have 3 adults and one child. We were told that all garden view rooms have the extra drop Murphy bed? Is this true? If not, which rooms have them?

Hi, Brenda! Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is a fantastic Moderate hotel for your visit to Walt Disney World Resort. The lush landscaping and overall vibe from this Resort make me feel relaxed as soon as I step foot off Disney's Magical Express from the airport.

Several of the Walt Disney World Resorts have undergone enhancements in the past couple of years to add a pull-down Murphy bed to many rooms' sleeping accommodations. These beds are slightly smaller than a traditional twin-size bed and measure around 66" x 31". They are built into the storage area of the room, located above a banquette bench seat and below the television.

All of the Guest rooms in the Alligator Bayou section of this resort, except for the wheelchair-accessible ones, feature the pull-down bed. At this time, this handy little bed fit for a prince or princess is not found in the Mansion buildings of the Magnolia Bend section of the resort. There are some garden-view rooms in the Mansion buildings, so you may be placed in that section.

In my experience, I have had success with calling Disney Resort Hotel Reservations and asking a Cast Member if they would mind making a notation on my reservation of my request to be placed in Alligator Bayou. Please note that this is simply a request and cannot be guaranteed. No worries if you do not get your wish. Stop by the resort's Check-In area and ask a Cast Member if you could possibly swap to another room.

Wishing you lots of pixie dust for a magical visit to Walt Disney World Resort, Brenda. Please stop by again and ask us any questions you may think of as you continue your vacation countdown!
