Arriving at 8 Epcot opens at 9 planning on staying for EMH until 11 - staying at BWV, checking in same day. Should we park at BWV and walk to gateway for rope drop or park in front of the park and check in later? BW Street performers close down when? TY

    Hi Desiree!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You are going to love staying at Disney’s Boardwalk Villas. You are within walking distance to two theme parks, many fabulous restaurants and exciting nightlife. Street performers generally are found along the Boardwalk between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m., though do keep in mind that those hours are always subject to change.

In terms of your arrival plan, I would recommend going directly to Disney’s Boardwalk Inn and checking in. You can simplify the procedure by completing online check-in prior to your arrival. The reason I would recommend this method is because of parking your vehicle. If you go directly to Epcot and try to park there without your parking pass, they will charge you to park. If you park at Disney’s Boardwalk Inn, you can go inside and briefly check-in so that your parking situation is taken care of. You can either leave your bags in the car, or leave them with Bell Services. Then you can enter the park via the International Gateway for a day of fun. Once your room is ready, you can return to your resort to take a break and unpack. If you have left your items will Bell Services, they should be able to bring them to your room for you at that time too.

I hope this helps you as you plan your day. I too like to get the most out of every vacation day possible. Be sure to plan your FastPass+ selections soon if you haven’t already. If you will be able to make rope drop at Epcot, I recommend getting a FastPass+ for either Soarin’ or Test Track, but go directly to whichever one you do not have a FastPass+ for as soon as you arrive. This should allow you to experience the two most popular attractions at Epcot with minimal waiting.

    Have a Magical vacation!
