I am arriving early May with a 4 & 5 yr old and am running in the marathon held at Epcot. I am torn between staying @ Coronado Springs or the Dolphin. I am concerned about the large layout of CS with 2 small kids. Any suggestions on either hotel??

It is true the Coronado Springs is sprawling, and speaking from experience, I got lost a time or two, never did find the pool.  It is beautiful, but it is massive, at least to me. There are inner courtyards and outer ones, and it seemed like I went in circles.  Coronado is set up for business, conferences, though there are kids themes, I just realized bringing my kids there wouldn't necessarily be my first choice.  There are about 5 bus stops for the hotel as well.

The Dolphin is not a Disney operated hotel, its actually a Starwood operated hotel.  However, there is bus service one bus stop, as for transportation information:
    • The Fantasia Gardens miniature golf courses are also within walking distance but do require crossing a public street.
    • Bus: Though not a Disney-run hotel, the Swan and Dolphin are part of the free bus network at Walt Disney World. Direct routes are available for Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom as well as Downtown Disney.

    • Other destinations will require transferring.

Monorail: Theoretically you could walk to and through Epcot and catch the monorail.

    • Ferries: There is a ferry stop at the boat launch between the Swan and Dolphin. These ferries connect Disney Hollywood Studios, the Swan and Dolphin hotels, Boarkwalk Inn resort, the Yacht and Beach Club resorts and Epcot. It also has great fitness facilities. Heather M.
