We will be arriving 1 day before we really check in at our resort - My question is What would you sugest to do? we will have two small children and a 16 year old - looking for something close disney area. Thank you

Hi, Jeffrey! That's so exciting that you're starting to make concrete plans for your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation! If you're traveling by plane, I think you should look into booking your first night at either your Disney resort or another one so that you can take advantage of Disney's Magical Express from Orlando International Airport. If you're budget conscious, Disney has several value resort options that will save you money in the long run by providing round-trip bus transportation to the airport for your entire gang.

Even if you're traveling by car, I still would recommend looking into staying on property to take advantage of being amongst the magic from the moment you arrive. To me, there's just nothing that compares to the service, amenities and atmosphere of a Disney resort. Or, you can research the various Downtown Disney Hotels which are only steps away from a great resort area with much to do -- and which doesn't require a park ticket. There is great shopping, dining and entertainment options which can easily fill up a few hours, an afternoon or an entire day at Downtown Disney (DTD). Plus, there is resort transportation at DTD which can easily transport you to another Disney resort for more shopping, dining, entertainment and recreation.

Let me know if you have more questions, and if you provide me with a few more details, I can better advise you about specifics. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation!
