Hi! We are arriving 12/16 and checking out 12/21. I was able to get reservations for the River of Lights dining package at Tusker House for breakfast on 12/17. Any idea what time the show will be in the evening? At sunset or before closing? Thanks!

    Hi Tim,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Clearly you have been doing some pixie-dusted planning!

When I checked, the Rivers of Light show was scheduled for 7:15 p.m. on December 17, 2017. If you click on the calendar feature and select your dates, the time(s) should appear. There was only one show when I checked, but there are occasionally two shows.

On our last visit, like you, we did the Rivers of Light Dining Package with Tusker House Restaurant. We all loved Tusker House. The food was fantastic and the characters simply adorable. Safari Donald and Daisy Duck were quite entertaining. We received printed tickets for the show at dinner and we had to have those tickets to enter the reserved seating area for the show.

The show - what can I say? Now that I have seen it twice, I will say that the reserved seating with the dining package is fantastic. Our show was at 8:15 p.m. (if my memory is accurate). We arrived at 8:00 p.m. after squeezing in a fourth Fast Pass+ after dinner. We still found good seats on the third row in the reserved section. From the third row, the show is beautifully orchestrated. The first time I saw the show, we sat further back and I missed some of the details of the storytelling.

Tim, I trust you will enjoy the show. It was one of the few times during our last visit that we stopped moving at a manic pace and absorbed the experience. While you are in Disney's Animal Kingdom, be sure to visit Pandora - The World of Avatar. Avatar Flight of Passage is AMAZING!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
