We will be arriving at the Boardwalk Villas on 12/27 til 1/1.Can anyone suggest what we should do first. We are a family of 5 with 3 girls ages 5,9,12 .I would like to have a plan when we arrive. Also what would be easy food to bring to fix in the room.

    Hi Tracey,

Great resort choice. The Boardwalk is a wonderful resort and the added bonus is the location. The resort is located behind Epcot's World Showcase & is within walking distance to both Epcot, Hollywood Studios, & the Yacht Club, Beach Club, Dolphin & Swan resorts.

You can do a number of things upon your arrival. If you have your bathing suit with you, take a dip in the pool. During the afternoon the girls could take part in some fun pool side activities like bingo or limbo. There is an arcade and a community center that offers afternoon activities as well as things like ping pong and air hockey. You could rent a surrey bike for a trip around the lake, or wander the Boardwalk and visit the various shops including the ESPN restaraunt to catch up on your favorite sports teams.

Stroll over towards the Dolphin and Swan & play a round of miniature golf at the Fantasia Gardens Golf Course. Grab a Disney bus and head to Downtown Disney for a meal or some shopping. Of course you are within walking distance to Hollywood Studios and Epcot, so our first choice is to head right to a park.

As for food, the villas have kitchen facilities so we like to stock up on milk, cereal and muffins or doughnuts for breakfast. We do not do full meals in our villa so great snack choices for us includes fruit, granola bars, popcorn and cheese and crackers. You can bring groceries with you, purchase from the small selection in the General Store or we like to order online at www.gardengrocer.com/. You can arrange to have your order delivered upon your arrival.

    Have a great time!
