We will be arriving at AKL in 8 days!!! I was going to pack some googles, a mask, a beach ball and some other balls to use in the pool, but someone told me googles and masks are not allowed. Is that accurate? I don't want to pack them if not necessary.

    Hi Jennifer,

I always bring my daughters and mine swim masks to WDW and have never had a problem using them when swimming in their pools.  I have seen many other guests use them as well, so I don't think you will need to worry about this.

I did have a problem once when we were swimming at Typhoon Lagoon (Disney's Water Park).  We were allowed to wear them when we were in the lazy river, but in the main large pool, we were told that they were not allowed because they had glass faces and if they fell off in the big wave they have in that pool they may brake and it would be very dangerous for all guests if there was broken glass in their pool....I completely understood this and respect their safety concerns for all of their guests.

    Best wishes,
    Brigitta
