We arrived at our hotel in Downtown Disney at 1 pm. We'd like to spend a few hours at a park that evening but don't want to use a full day pass. Any suggestions?

    Hi Dolly!

Once you activate your card at a turnstile to enter a Park, you have used up one of your Park passes for the day. This is the case whether you enter first thing in the morning, or for only a few hours at night. The good news is, after buying at least a 4 day base ticket, the price for any extra days increases by only about $3 a day.

So, as long as you were planning on staying at least 4 days, I'd suggest that you add an extra day to your ticket if you are wanting to enjoy a few hours in a Park on that first evening. What we generally do is purchase Base Tickets to cover every day of our trip including our arrival and departure days. If we end up deciding to relax by the pool on the last day and not go to a Park, even with 7 family members, we're only out $21.

If adding a day to your pass isn't an option for you, and you don't want to use up a ticket then I'd recommend that you explore Downtown Disney or the Boardwalk area that first night.

If you've already purchased your tickets, and you want to add a day, you can stop by Guest Relations at any Park when you arrive and ask them about adding a day.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if you need clarification on any of this.

    Enjoy your vacation!
