Hi Mom's - if we arrive on a Sunday (late morning) and will be leaving that Friday (around 3pm). What are the best parks / things to do on those "1/2" days?

    Eurica:

When our family arrives on our first day, we usually use it for exploring our resort, relaxing by the pool and seeing everything the area has to offer simply to get our "bearings." This approach allows us to wake refreshed from a day of travel to enjoy our first full day at the parks rested and ready to go.

However, if you have been to your resort before and find yourself with an extra day on your ticket or children who want to hit the theme parks first thing upon arrival, consider going to Magic Kingdom or Epcot. Both of these parks, in my opinion, deserve two days to fully enjoy, and visiting on your first evening with a fireworks display can start off your trip with a bang.

On your last day, especially if you are driving your own car, consider going to either Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom early to take in popular rides with short morning standby lines that get longer as the day wanes, like Toy Story Midway Mania, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, Expedition Everest or Kilamanjaro Safaris. Getting the opportunity to revisit one of our favorite attractions from earlier in the week can be fun send-off.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
