If we arrive in orlando at 11 am, would we be able to check into a Disney hotel then or have to wait till a later check in time ? if so is there a place to wait?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Alyssa! When my family and I fly into Orlando, we always take a flight that has us arriving around 11:30 a.m. into Orlando. Since our resort rooms aren't guaranteed to be ready until 3:00 p.m. for most Disney Resorts, and we arrive by Magical Express much earlier than that, we love that we have so many options once we are there.

Occasionally, we've been surprised that our room is ready for us, so we've been able to take our luggage there, settle in a bit, and then head out to start our magical day at the parks. Other times, our room wasn't ready when we arrived early, so we left our luggage with the resort Bell Services and headed out to the parks. We certainly didn't want to sit around waiting when we could be enjoying the place where dreams come true! After a fun afternoon of exploring Magic Kingdom or one of the other parks, we have come back and simply called down to Bell Services from our room and they've delivered our luggage to us. Do plan to have some cash on hand, as it is traditional to tip them for holding and then delivering your luggage. Disney really takes care of their guests, even before they officially check into their room, so you're in good hands, Alyssa!

Another option, if you weren't planning to visit a park on your arrival day, is to enjoy a nice lunch at one of the restaurants at your resort, since you'll be arriving around lunchtime anyway. Or, hop on the complimentary transportation to Disney Springs to do some shopping and dining and spend a great afternoon!

Either way, you've got plenty of options, and you certainly don't have to sit in the lobby all day waiting for your room to be ready! Go explore and enjoy the magic that Disney has to offer from the very start, Alyssa!
