We arrive Nov. 26 around supper at DW and leave Dec 5th. Should we avoid the parks on that weekend? Should we go to water slides and sea world or maybe epcot that thanksgiving weekend and do the parks starting on the monday? 2 adults, 14 and 11 kids.

Hi Cindy!  It will be hard to avoid the parks completely when arriving at Walt Disney World for a vacation but they will be most crowded the Friday and Saturday after the holiday.  If you head to a park just realize that the lines will be longest on those days and don't try to feel like you need to do it all. Pick a few attractions to visit and try to get Fast Passes for those so your wait time in lines will be kept to a minimum.

It is a good time to enjoy the resort amenities such as the pools and boat rentals.  You can hit the spa or head out for a round of golf.  The water park crowds will depend on the weather since this can be a chilly time of year but it is another great option to go to avoid the heaviest crowds in the parks.

Starting Sunday you will find many guests leaving to return home and the parks will open up and the lines become shorter!  For many years Thanksgiving week was the time our family visited this great vacation heaven!
