General Magic Kingdom Fireworks

We arrive on May 15th and are staying at Pop Century. We will not be using park tickets that day. Could we have dinner at Kona and then stay around the resort to watch the magic kingdom fireworks?

    Hi Meredith,

"Resort Hopping" happens to be one of my favorite pastimes on our non-park days! While you are not able to use the pools at resorts other than the one which you are staying in, you are more than welcome to shop, dine, and enjoy many other resort amenities. The Disney Resorts are all beautiful, and the Deluxe Resorts in particular offer so many fun opportunities to explore.

The Kona Cafe at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is an excellent choice for dinner on your arrival day. I recommend making your Advanced Dining Reservation for 7:00 PM or later, as the Happily Ever After Fireworks at the Magic Kingdom generally begin at 9:00 PM in May. When you have a dining reservation, you are eligible to park for free for up to three-hours. So after dinner, head on down to the beach and soak in your first glimpse of the evening magic!

If you are using Disney transportation to travel to dinner, please note that the buses do not travel directly from resort to resort. You'll need want to plan accordingly and take a bus bound for the Magic Kingdom or Epcot and then hop on the Resort Monorail to get to dinner.
