We arrive on Friday the 8th and I have made hoop de doo dinner reservations that night...I am second guessing this and thinking that we should do the halloween party at mk instead. This is our first trip, I have a 3 year old and 7 year old. Any thoughts?

    Hi Elizabeth,

Both the Hoop Dee Do Revue and Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP) are wonderful ways to spend an Autumn evening at Walt Disney World.  If I had to pick, however, I'd vote for MNSSHP for your kids' ages.  Hoop Dee Do is a vaudeville-style variety show, filled with lots of slapstick comedy.  Some of it might be lost on your three-year-old.  The singing and dancing numbers are very entertaining, and the food is great, however, I would still suggest the Halloween Party for your children.  Mickey's Halloween Party features a special parade (Mickey's Boo To You Parade), fireworks spectacular (Hall-o-Wishes), character meet-and-greets and trick-or-treating across the park.   In addition, many of the most popular attractions are open for guests to enjoy with minimal waiting times.  My family had an opportunity to spend last Saturday at MNSSHP, and had a fantastic time.  My kids left the park with so much candy that we needed a rolling suitcase to cart it all home!  While even your youngest would likely have a good time at the Hoop Dee Doo, I think the party has a higher "fun factor" for your family!

    Have a great time!
