    Bonjour Sandra,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question!

I visited Walt Disney World Resort last year during the first weekend in January and I can confirm that the Christmas decorations were still up in all of the Theme Parks, as well as most of the Resorts. I’m sure that the Holidays will still be in the air during your upcoming vacation, so you’ll definitely be able to enjoy a Very Merry Christmas at Walt Disney World Resort this year.

As for what to do at Magic Kingdom Park on New Year’s Eve, my first comment would be that, historically, all of the Theme Parks are extremely busy on that day, especially Magic Kingdom. The best thing that you can do would be to make your 3 FastPass+ selections as soon as possible, and ensure that you have a dining reservation in order to avoid the long lines for food at counter service locations. Typically, Magic Kingdom Park also has an amazing fireworks show shortly before midnight (last year, it was live streamed on the Disney Parks Blog and it was breathtaking). I would also highly HIGHLY recommend finding a spot for the show at least 2 hours before it’s scheduled to start (if not sooner). Consult the Times Guide or your My Disney Experience app as you get closer to your travel dates.
