We arrive August 13th and leave on the 17th. My son turns 3 on August 14th. I understand that he can get in free to the theme parks. Can he still eat for free at the buffet restaurants on the 14th-17th?

    Hi, Scott!

Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. There is no better place to celebrate a birthday than at Walt Disney World Resort. Your son's third birthday is sure to be magical! Be sure you stop by Guest Relations or the front desk at your Walt Disney World Resort hotel to pick up a "Happy Birthday" button for your son!

I have great news for you: Did you know that you do not age while you are on vacation at Walt Disney World Resort? Walt Disney World Resort goes by the age your child is when you check-in. Because your son will be two when you arrive at Walt Disney World Resort, you will not have to purchase a theme park ticket for him. And that's true even though he turns three during your vacation. In addition, he can continue to eat for free at buffet dining locations by sharing his meal from an adult's plate. Hooray!

I hope this helps with your planning, Scott. Please stop back and let me know if you have any additional questions about your upcoming vacation.

    Wishing you many magical memories!
