We have arranged for ground transportation from MCO to Port Canaveral for our May 2017 cruise. How is our carry on luggage handled from MCO to our ships stateroom? Also, how often do motor coaches leave the airport to head to the port terminal?

Welcome back, Melody! I'm so happy to hear that you've already booked ground transfers through Disney Cruise Line for your upcoming cruise. I promise that letting Disney do the driving makes for the easiest transition from land to sea and back again!

Since they take care of all of the details, you'll just need to fly in and find your way to the motor coach, and off you'll go! A few weeks before you set sail, you'll receive your cruise packet in the mail. This will include lots of information for you as well as your luggage tags. If you'd like Disney to take your luggage right from the plane to the ship, without you having to pick it up, simply follow the details laid out in the packet. You'll attach the DCL luggage tags to your checked luggage before checking it in at the airport in Michigan. Then, when you arrive in Orlando, the bags will magically make their way to the ship and meet you in your stateroom later that afternoon.

Once you debark your flight, simply bring your carry-on bags and head down to the Disney Cruise Line ground transfers (Side B, Level 1, near Disney's Magical Express). There you'll check in for the transfer and board the motor coach. The motor coaches depart every half hour or so, which means you certainly won't have to wait too long to be on your way to the port. Once you leave the airport, it's about an hour-long ride to Port Canaveral. But, Disney is an entertainment company after all, so that hour-long trip is chock full of entertainment. Video screens will play Disney Cruise Line videos, classic Disney cartoons, and some trivia to keep you entertained and make the journey fly by! Before you know it, you'll be heading over that last bridge to Cape Canaveral, and you'll spot the ship waiting for you!

Have fun as you count down to your sail date, Melody.
