    Doreen from CA Asked

With Ariels Grotto closed during the time we are going to Disneyland this year, where is a place my daughter can see the princesses?

    Greetings Doreen!

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I can't wait for your daughter to experience the endless magic of the Disneyland Resort. Although I am sad to see Ariel's Grotto Restaurant close, I am super excited for its transformation into Lamplight Lounge coming this summer to Pixar Pier. This new dining experience will feature a sophisticated and open atmosphere with California-inspired cuisine.

Although there is not currently a Princess-themed Character Dining experience offered, there are still many ways your daughter can meet and greet her favorite Disney Princesses at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. My very favorite spot to mingle with Disney royalty would be Fantasy Faire in Disneyland Park. Here you can meet Princesses at Royal Hall as well as see some perform classic fairy tales with a twist at the Royal Theatre.

Another wonderful spot to meet some very special sisters is Anna & Elsa's Royal Welcome at Disney California Adventure Park. My son absolutely loved the witty conversation with these two, and also enjoyed seeing them perform at Frozen - Live at the Hyperion in this park as well! Both experiences are a must if your daughter loves Frozen.

Always keep your eyes on the official Disneyland app for Character greeting locations and times throughout the parks. I have even unexpectedly met Princesses like Tiana and Pocahontas in Frontierland at Disneyland Park.

I hope your own little princess has the vacation of a lifetime, and have a magical day!
