In April we are sailing on the Disney Fantasy. When I booked it a year ago, first seating was taken. Do you think that there will be any chance of getting first seating if I am wait-listed? I just can't imagine eating so late. Thanks.

    Ahoy Kimberly!
I'm sure you are ready to board the fabulous Disney Fantasy for a magical sailing very soon! This vessel became my family's favorite when we first sailed on it back in 2012. I hope your crew makes some very special pixie dusted memories when it's your turn in April!
I'm sure you were surprised first seating was already full when you booked so early. If you haven't already, be sure to call Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532 to speak with an agent about being put on the waitlist for the 5:45 dining. If you don't get moved before your sail date, you will want to check with the crew once aboard. On the front page of your first daily cruise newsletter, the Personal Navigator, you will find instructions on changing to a different dining assignment. Usually this will involve stopping by Royal Court (the dining venue located to your left when you arrive in the Grand Lobby Atrium) as soon as you board to better your chances. If you are late boarding, there will be a number listed in the newsletter to call from your stateroom phone. My fingers are crossed that one of these will work for you. If not, I have good news. My family almost always enjoys second seating because we like a little longer to enjoy the ship in the afternoon and love seeing the show before dinner at 6:15. Another fantastic option only offered to second seating Guests is called "Dine & Play." If you have kids between the ages of 3 and 12 registered for the Oceaneer Club and Lab, they will be able to leave dinner around 9:15 with the youth counselors to enjoy time playing while you finish your dinner. If you want to take advantage of this option, just let your servers know once you sit down and they will expedite the dining process for your kiddos. This may work out well for your crew especially with the time change coming from California. The second seating might feel more like your normal dinner time!
Thank you for stopping by the Moms Panel! If you think of anything else, please let us know!
