In April we have a one day to do both parks. We're getting max passes. Which rides should we run to first; which should we maxpass? Starting the day in DL and doing CA later. Do you have an itinerary you would suggest to maximize our visit?

    Hi, James!

I’m glad you’re planning a magic-packed day trip to the Happiest Place on Earth! There should be so much new magic for you to experience since Pixar Fest is slated to begin in mid-April and will include the debut of “Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular."

I recommend that you check out the interactive theme park attractions list online. It can be sorted by age interest, height requirement and thrill level. Pick the attractions you want to make your highest priority. Assuming thrill rides are at the top of your list, I would start your day by heading to either Space Mountain or Indiana Jones Adventure, two of the park’s most popular attractions. As soon as you first enter Disneyland Park you’ll be able to make a Disney MaxPass selection, so choose your top priority attraction at Disney California Adventure Park to experience your must-dos in both parks. Radiator Springs Racers or Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! would both be great options.

Another way to maximize your time in between Disney FASTPASS return times is to take advantage of Single Rider Service, available at attractions such as Matterhorn Bobsleds, Splash Mountain, Radiator Springs Racers, Grizzly River Run and more. A Cast Member will direct you to the correct line to fill a remaining seat not occupied by Guests utilizing Disney FASTPASS or stand-by lines.

I hope this helps you plan, James, and that you enjoy a pixie dust-packed day!

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
