Is it appropriate to tip a cast member in the event they go above and beyond our expectations; and if so, how much is appropriate? I realize many CM's may not expect this, but I would like to tip in the event they go beyond the call of duty. Is this okay?

As far as I know, Cast Members that are in a non-tipping position, may not accept gratuities. Cast Members in Bell Services, Housekeeping and some dining position may accept tips.

My husband tried to tip the Cast Member that gave me a ride from the airport during our Moms Panel training in December. She said they were unable to accept tips. Her role was with VIP Tours.

Many Cast Members go beyond their roles in making magic for guests. I would definitely thank them as well as get their names so you could write Guest Communications.

This goes a long way in helping their careers as well as promoting job satisfaction at WDW.

Some families like to pass out Cast Member Appreciation cards, just do a google search and you'll see examples. They are pre-made thank you notes.

This past year, I've been delighted to meet many of the dream-makers that are often behind the scenes at WDW. Each one of them (you know who you are!!) have changed my life in simple and profound ways. I hope guests thank the Cast Members that go out of their way to make magical memories for their families while visiting WDW.
