    Hello Jennifer!

I hope you are having a magical week! Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

When you arrive at the parks, head to Guest Services first and talk to a Cast Member about your daughter’s needs to obtain the Disability Access Service Card. While talking to them, please mention that she is non verbal and will need a way to communicate with cast members even with the new system.

My youngest is 7 and he was non verbal until recently, only partially verbal now. We have our own cards made up that say his name, my cell phone number and that he is autistic/non-verbal as well as a few prompts/pictures that help in various situations such as a restroom sign with a question mark next to it, symbols for food, and pictures or words describing being lost should he get separated from our group. It’s nothing fancy, just something I would print up at home and have in his pocket.

I hope this helps and let me know if you have any other questions as you plan your visit!

    See you real soon!
