just got a AP for my birthday. I will be at DW in nov for 11 day split stay starting at AOA. Will I get a magic band in the mail before my visit or can i buy one at guest services and link it to my AP this stay?

    Hi Heather,

Wow, an annual pass and an 11-day stay at Walt Disney World this fall! You've got a lot to look forward to.

As a Walt Disney World annual passholder, you will receive a complimentary MagicBand. You also will be eligible for a free MagicBand for each of your Walt Disney World resort stays. So, in theory, you can get three MagicBands for your November visit -- each in a different color.

MagicBands actively linked to your My Disney Experience account are interchangeable and all contain information on your FastPass+ reservations, your tickets or passes and are your key to your resort room.

To customize your MagicBands, go to My Disney Experience and check in the MagicBands & Cards section. You should see the chance to customize your MagicBands by choosing colors and adding an identifying name to each. MagicBands generally are mailed to your home about three weeks before your visit. Annual pass MagicBands should be available for customization soon after you link your pass to My Disney Experience.

If you don't want that many MagicBands, you can decline them in the customization area. Personally, I don't think you can ever have too many.

As you plan your vacation, Heather, please be sure to review the benefits and discounts available to annual passholders so that you are ready to take advantage of all the savings you're entitled to. And remember, your pass will be good for 365 days from the date of first use, so yours will extend to November 2018!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Please let us know if you have any other questions about being a passholder or planning your visit. Enjoy!
