We'll be at AOA in Nov but still deciding between 2 standard rooms or 1 suit. Is it true that now all standard rooms in disney resorts include a mini-fridge with no extra fee? How much bigger is a compact fridge (included in the suits) than a mini-fridge?

    Hi Shana!

You're going to love the larger-than-life, colourful surroundings at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. Deciding which section of the resort to reserve your stay in is probably the hardest part! I'm partial to the Cars section myself.

It is indeed true that all Disney Value Resort standard rooms now include a mini-fridge at no additional fee. Moderate and Deluxe Resort rooms also include mini-fridges.

When comparing the fridges in the standard rooms versus the compact-refrigerator, there are a few small differences. The Family Suites' fridges are slightly larger in overall dimensions (approximately 2 feet high by 18 inches wide) and include a small, freezer section in the top of the unit. The freezer is not large enough to hold a gallon of ice cream, but can accommodate an ice cube tray and perhaps a few other small, flat packages. The freezer section is approximately 6 inches high by 18 inches wide.

The mini-fridges or 'beverage coolers' included in standard resort rooms around the property do not include the freezer section. They'll easily accommodate multiple single serve beverages, snack portions of fruits, baby foods and bottles.

I hope this information helps you with your decisions Shana.
