Has anyone used a stroller onboard? If so, was it difficult getting around?

    Ahoy, Sandy!

Did you know Disney Cruise Line makes cruising with little ones very easy? My son was just one on our first cruise, and it really was a breeze because of how accommodating Disney Cruise Line is to Guests of all ages.

We brought a small, collapsible stroller onboard to have for traveling to the port, but ended up using the strollers Disney Cruise Line has onboard. Our stroller fit nicely under our bed; so it was not a problem to have two in the room. The strollers available through Disney Cruise Line are free, but do require a fully refundable deposit and are first-come, first-served. They can be picked up at Guest Services, and if you think you want to use one while aboard, I recommend going after you board to get yours. In the past, they have been Peg Perego with the large wheels and are quite easy to maneuver around the hallways, in the elevators and on deck. It is also great to have if you venture out in the ports-of-call. Double strollers can be tricky, so I always recommend single strollers, if possible.

If your cruise visits Castaway Cay, you will not need to take your stroller off the ship. There will be strollers and wagons available to use free of charge at both the Scuttle's Cove and Pelican Point Tram Stop. These are also first-come, first-served, but each time I visit I've noticed a decent amount available at both spots. It was great for us because we didn't have to worry about getting the stroller onboard all sandy and wet.

Thank you for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Sandy! If you have any additional questions, please let us know!

    Have a magical day!
