Walking On The Beach

Has anyone run the Castaway Cay 5k? We would like to book excursions for Parasailing and Feeding the Stingrays, but am not sure about times and what the distances are for each excursion. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

    Ahoy, Renee!
Spending the day on Disney's Castaway Cay is my idea of paradise! From the moment you step off the ship, you will be in awe of the tropical touches of Disney magic and the natural beauty of this Bahamian oasis. I've been there over a dozen times, and each time is just as special as the first!
Completing the 5K is a great way to start your day on the island! I've run several times and enjoy the flat terrain and lush surroundings on the path. You will meet and then depart the ship with the other runners typically around 8:15 or 8:30 a.m. Everything on the island is a short walk or tram ride, so you'll be at the starting line and ready to run not long after leaving the ship. The Parasailing Port Adventure meets about 100 yards from the ship, so you'll want to plan 15-20 minutes to walk or ride the tram from the finish line. Castaway Ray's Stingray Adventure is located near the first tram stop, so it takes about 10-15 minutes to get there. Parasailing to the meeting location for the stingray adventure is about a 10-minute walk. The tram can be a bit shorter if you time it just right, but it usually takes about the same amount of time to walk if you move quickly.
I'm so excited for you to experience Disney's slice of Bahamian paradise, Renee! It is sure to be a highlight of your magical vacation with Disney Cruise Line!
