Does anyone know if you can use the refillable mugs at the resort for milk or juice? Looking for healthier options. Are these kinds of things available at the general stores at the resorts? How about snacks like boxes of cereal or granola bars? Thanks!

    Hi Shannon,

Disney has made it much easier to be a healthier eater while on vacation. Some Moms Panel members recently had a chance to chat with the chef in charge of providing healthy options in the resorts and restaurants, and I was impressed with how hard they are working hard to creatively expand the quick food choices, especially for children, beyond pizza and fries.

In the food courts and stores at the resorts, you will find a selection of cereals, granola bars, fresh fruit and snacks such as hummus and cheese. While the refillable mugs are limited to fountain drinks, hot chocolate, coffee and tea, you will be able to buy milk and juices, including soy milk.

In many of the restaurants and counter service dining venues, you will see the Mickey Check icon next to the healthiest options for kids. You can find more information about the Mickey Check program at the link I provided.

I hope that helps. As much fun as it is to indulge in the occasional burger and fries, I appreciate having healthy, tasty food as an option.

Please let me know if I can answer any other questions about Disney dining (my favorite subject!) or other activities at Walt Disney World. Enjoy!
