Hi Larissa! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! This is a great question because the two sound similar in name but are very different experiences.
The
Disney Junior Live On Stage show is a fun, silly, active half hour that mixes people and puppets (and bubbles!) with your family's favorite Disney Junior Pals. You'll sing songs, you'll dance, and you'll even help your friends plan a very special birthday surprise for Minnie Mouse! This venue is floor seating only, and pro tip, sit in the middle or the back for eye-level viewing as the floor slopes a bit.
The
Disney Junior Play 'n Dine is the name of a Character breakfast at the restaurant Hollywood & Vine. Here your family will have a great breakfast with a buffet spread of Mickey waffles, made-to-order-omelets, fruit, and more. It even looks like the ice cream sundae station is open at breakfast, too! Characters are subject to change, but normally you get to meet Sophia the First, Doc McStuffins, Handy Manny, and Jake and the Neverland Pirates.
While those two are unrelated experiences, and yes, they do need to be booked separately, there is an additional option to book the Disney Junior Play 'n Dine as part of the
Fantasmic! Dining Package. You'll experience all the great breakfast fun that Hollywood and Vine offers, then you'll be given a FastPass type ticket for reserved seating at that nights showing of Fantasmic! This is a terrific value and bonus, you get to free up a FastPass+ selection as you don't have to reserve Fantasmic!.
I hope this helped with your vacation planning, Larissa, and we'll see you real soon!
~Kristen
