Does anyone know if we can take balloons into a son is turning 5 on our trip and we are having balloons and a mickey delivered to us at breakfast at Chef Mickeys and then plan on heading to Magic Kingdom. (our resort if port orleans)

    Hi Nicole:

Animal Kingdom is the only Park that lists balloons as a restricted personal item that you are not allowed to bring into the Park (for the safety of the animals).  For the other Parks, Disney asks that you use your best judgment not to bring in items that may be harmful or disruptive.  Ultimately it's up to Disney World and security to make the final call on items that they will permit and prohibit in the Park.  It's likely you will have an easier time entering the Park with a few balloons instead of a cluster of 50.

I would take a print out of the link that lists restricted items with you as you enter the Park, in case that helps explain that balloons are only outright prohibited from being taken into Animal Kingdom.

Enjoy your vacation and happy birthday to your son.
