    Onno from PA Asked

Hello - has anyone had experience using the Disney Visa Card? I just signed up for one which I plan on using but not keeping a balance on (paying off right after use). Are the additional perks (aside from the 2%) worth the annual fee? thanks

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Onno! I have been a Disney VISA cardholder for a few years now and I can report that my rewards are definitely worth the small annual fee.

This past summer when my family stayed at Disney’s Polynesian Village and Resort, we were able to spend our accumulated $400 reward dollars from our Disney VISA. My family pays attention to where we can earn points, like Disney merchandise locations, Walt Disney World Resort itself and even “other” locations that can also earn 2% such as restaurants, gas stations and grocery stores. Our points are on a Slinky Dog Dash to accumulation! We have also used our card in Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios to gain access to the exclusive cardmember character meet and greets. Joining the Dark Side with Kylo Ren and dancing with Pluto is always better with no line! I have gotten my 10% off merchandise when showing my card, though I rarely use that perk since my Annual Pass gleans me 20% off.

Since my family and me are such big Disney fans, we use our perks and earn with our card all the time. The only way the card wouldn’t be as beneficial to you would if you weren’t going to spend your Disney dollars once you accumulated enough to purchase your favorite vacations, movie tickets or other items. I hope you have fun spending and earning. May your points take you to Infinity and Beyond! ~ Lindsey P.
