We are anxiously awaiting our Nov 4 sailing on the Wonder with Marvel Day at Sea. My 15 year old is signed up for the Wild Side Teen Adventure and he is wondering if it's possible to run the 5k (he is fast) and still do the teen adventure? Thanks!!

    Ahoy, Jacqueline!

Are you ready to assemble because I have a strong feeling you're about to experience a MARVELous vacation aboard the Disney Magic next month! Your sailing will be filled with epic encounters including interacting with the Marvel Super Hero and Villains, opportunities to show off your Marvel knowledge during trivia, a special Doctor Strange show in the Walt Disney Theatre, a unique nighttime deck party and so much more! Your Bahamian journey with the Marvel Day at Sea will be filled with surprises, Jacqueline!

My 15-year-old daughter highly recommends The Wild Side Teen Adventure. She really enjoyed it on our last sailing and had an absolute blast with the counselors and other teens that participated along with her. This excursion usually meets at Vibe around 9:00 a.m. and then the group disembarks the ship together. The Castaway Cay 5K also meets on the ship normally around 8:15 a.m. before leaving for the starting line. I think it might be a little tight for him to run and make it back to Vibe by 9:00 a.m., but it will probably be close since he's a fast runner. My advice is to have him talk to the counselors at Vibe once aboard because they might have a suggestion on how to make both work. My daughter remembers snorkeling first so he may be able to meet them where they pick up the equipment. And I'm sure the water will feel refreshing after his run since the course can be hot even at 8:30 in the morning!

Jacqueline, thank you for reaching out with your question. We hope you'll let us know if we can assist you further with your plans.

    Have a MAGICAL day!
