We are annual passholders and staying at Pop Century in May. We are using MagicBands and Fastpass+ for the first time. What happens if we select a FP attraction in advance and it is closed when it is our time to ride?

Hello Robert.  Thanks for asking your question here on the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  We love answering questions and this is such a great one!

I was recently at Walt Disney World using the new FastPass+ system and I was so impressed.  I really like how it works and my family and I were actually able to ride a lot more rides using it.  Something you may or may not know is that you can change a FastPass+ reservation at any time.  Say you want to leave the park to go for a swim but you have a FastPass+ reservation time coming up.  You can pull out your smart phone and open up the MyDisneyExperience App or head to the nearest FastPass+ kiosk located all over the theme parks and change your reservation time or pick a whole new attraction!  Pretty neat.  If you arrive at an attraction that is temporarily down, you will use the same concept and choose a new FastPass+ reservation.  Additionally, if a ride goes down that you have a FastPass+ reservation for, a notification will be sent to the email address you have associated your your Disney account.  That way you don't have to walk all the way to the attraction to see that it's down.  I love that feature.  It is going to save some time a frustration.  All in all I am very happy with the new FastPass+ and how it is working.  I think you will like it too.

Have a magical vacation.  If I can help you with anything else, please feel free to ask!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
