I have annual passes for Disney and I am looking into a couple mini vacations. I would like to know what resort is the best for my two year old daughter (I have been looking at the cabins) and what resort would be the best for a couple's get away.

    Hi Tia,

Deciding which Walt Disney World resort hotel is right for you and your family is a very personal decision that will depend on a variety of factors in your family, including which theme you find the most appealing. If you look at the link I provided above, you can browse through all of the Walt Disney World resorts, and begin to narrow down your options by characteristics such as price and location.

You mention that you are considering The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort for a trip with your two-year-old daughter. This is one of my favorite places to stay at Walt Disney World, in fact, my family just returned from a trip there. There is so much to do at the resort, including a great playground and lots of recreation options. The boat ride to Magic Kingdom is lovely and relaxing. I also really like that there are separate living and sleeping areas in the cabins. That way, if your daughter needs to take a nap or go to sleep early, the adults in your party can still stay awake and socialize in the living area.

As for a couple's getaway, when my husband and I were offered a chance to do this, we went to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The Victorian elegance of this resort had always appealed to me, but I was not sure that my young daughter would appreciate it as much as some of the other resorts. We had a wonderful long weekend there, including an amazing experience at the Chef's Table at the outstanding Victoria & Albert's.

I hope that the thoughts above are helpful for you Tia, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions!
