    Margaret Asked

Hi Anna how are you?The last trip to Disney was wonderful and I am looking to come back for longer period of time. I was wondering if you could tell me when the 2014 package are coming out/ suggestions about the best and worst times to visit. Thanks:)

Hi, Margaret!  First off, there is never a worst time to visit Walt Disney World - if time allowed, I'd be there for two vacations a year, each six months long!

You can book room only reservations for 2014 now, but packages have not yet been released.  You can usually find package information as we draw closer to the end of the year - typically mid to late summer (although I have seen them as late as October!).  You are always able to book a room only, then call later to add tickets and dining, or rebook your room with a package promotional offer should one become available.

For me, my least favorite time is when it's the hottest, but some people love that Florida sunshine.  There is not enough hair product on this planet to combat the frizz that forms on the top of my head during a Florida summer.  My all time favorite time is between Thanksgiving and Christmas.  The holidays are in full swing, and such wonderful holiday only offerings are available.  It's just not Christmas at my house until we've soaked in the spirit at such events as the Candlelight Processional or Mickey's Very Merry Christmas party.

My second favorite time is during EPCOT's International Food and Wine Festival.  Great food, wonderful weather, and Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party!  Although, like I said, there really isn't a worst time to go!

Thanks so much for your question, and if there is anything we can do to help you plan your next magical trip, just let us know!
