We were in Animal Kingdom on February 12th. We had a few photographers have us do 'claws' with our hands. I assumed this was for the "working on our roar" magic shot with the Lion King frame. NONE of our claw pics have this?

    Hi Rhonda,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I hope you had a wild time during your recent visit to Disney's Animal Kingdom.

I adore the extra pixie dust that comes with Magic Shots, and am always asking my PhotoPass photographer if they have any available in that location. On our last trip, I was able to get a Magic Shot featuring my favorite Disney characters, Santa's reindeer from Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade. I cried when I saw it!

I'm sorry to hear your photos didn't come out as expected. My advice is to give the Cast Members over at Disney's PhotoPass Service a phone call to see if anything can be done. They can be reached at (407) 560-4300. I'm not sure if a Magic Shot can be added after the fact, and I do know that they are location-specific, but they're the experts and I've got my fingers crossed that they can make some magic for you.

Rhonda, did you know that you can follow Disney's PhotoPass Service on Facebook and Twitter? On Facebook, they even have albums of the current available Magic Shots in each park. Magic Shots aren't ever guaranteed, as lighting and other factors can impact whether the shot will work, but I like looking through and planning what shots we'll ask for.

The "claws up" pose is a common one around Disney's Animal Kingdom, and we have lots of super cute family pictures in that pose. Even if the Magic Shot can't come through, I hope you captured some really special shots that will always conjure magical memories of your special together time.

    Have a zip-a-dee-doo-dah day,
    Robyn
