We're going to Animal Kingdom in a couple of weeks and I'm bringing my 2 year old daughter with us. I know they get in free if they're 3 and under but do I need to bring her birth certificate as proof that she actually is under 3??

    Hi Alexis,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for sending us your question.  Disney's Animal Kingdom is the perfect Theme Park for your toddler, there is so much to see and do!

From my experience, Disney works on the honour system when it comes to ages for children.  I have been asked what age my daughter was at Dining Locations in the past, however it was so that the Cast Members knew how to accurately calculate our cheque.  When my daughter was younger I would take a photo of her birth certificate and passport to have on hand if I was ever asked for proof of age (which I wasn't).  I worried that Cast Members would mistake her for older than she was and I always wanted to be prepared just in case.  Taking a photo allowed me to have peace of mind that if I was ever asked I could provide enough information, yet my important documents were still safe.

When you are at Disney's Animal Kingdom don't forget to make time to see the all new UP! A Great Bird Adventure.  Russell and Dug introduce guests to birds from all over the globe in a fun-filled experience with plenty of surprises!

I hope you have a magical time at Disney's Animal Kingdom, Alexis.  Please let us know if you have any other questions, we are always happy to help.
