We'll be at Animal Kingdom in August and are wondering time of day to reserve a fast pass for Kilimanjaro safaris? We will have a 2 year old and are thinking of the heat plus when the animals are likely to be about. Do you recommend a fastpass for this?

    Jambo Julie,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Kilimanjaro Safaris in Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park is one of the most unique Attractions at the Walt Disney World Resort. The chance to see the many exotic animals on the gorgeous tour of the savanna make it a "must do" each time we visit!

I recommend reserving a FastPass+ for Kilimanjaro Safaris as early in the day as possible. My family and I have had the opportunity to experience the Safaris many times and I have found that the best time to ride is first thing in the morning. The animals are much more active in the morning, especially in the summer months. It's much cooler for them (and you) in the morning before the Florida heat and humidity start to climb in temperature.

I hope this information helps. Please come back and visit us again should you have any additional vacation planning questions!

    Magical Wishes,
