HI Andi. We're setting sail on the DIsney Wonder to Alaska in a few weeks. Can you tell me if there are plans for a night of fireworks?

    Hi, Darlene!

Congratulations on your upcoming cruise on board the beautiful Disney Wonder to Alaska! My family and I are taking this cruise next month, and I've been getting all the details from my friends at Disney Cruise Line (DCL). I am beside myself with excitement and anticipation -- what a trip of a lifetime!

The DCL Entertainment Team has many events and activities planned for Disney guests headed north -- deck parties including the famed pirate's party, shows, characters, special dining opportunities and much, much more! From what I understand, because of Alaskan government regulations, there will be no fireworks display. You and I can only speculate why, but I have a feeling it might be because we're traveling through Alaska's Inner Passage or because complete darkness is scarce in the Land of the Midnight Sun. Whatever the reason, I hear there is so much to do and see that guests may not have time to miss them.

Oh, in case you haven't heard...make sure you dress in layers and don't forget your binoculars and a day pack for the ports of call. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
