hi Amanda. first time to WDW. Have 2 girls between 9 - 11. Could you please recommend 1 or 2 restaurants at each of the 4 resorts that would be neat/fun experience? ; and 1or 2 restaurants at a resort? also, any must do dessert places to go? Thank you

Hi Lisa! Thanks so much for asking me this question -- Disney Dining is one of my favorite subjects!

My kids are close in age to yours, and the restaurant they request on every trip is the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater at Hollywood Studios. They love that diners sit in cars there and watch campy old movies while servers whiz by on roller skates. The food there is not fancy, but I like the Reuben sandwich and who doesn't love milkshakes?! Also at Hollywood Studios, if you're looking for a fun experience, consider 50s Prime Time Cafe.

At Animal Kingdom, my husband and I love Yak & Yeti, which has tasty Asian entrees. The buffet at Tusker House has lots of hearty choices along with some unique African-inspired dishes, and it's fun to dine with the characters at breakfast or lunch.

As a little girl I always dreamed of going inside the Castle, and my eyes still tear up a little when I dine at Cinderella's Royal Table in the Magic Kingdom. Even though my daughter is 10, she still enjoys meeting the princesses. Try to schedule a breakfast an hour before the park opens so you can stroll through a near empty park on your way to the Castle! If you can snag a table at the hottest new restaurant, Be Our Guest, you'll have an opportunity to meet the Beast in his Castle after dinner.

Delicious food abounds at Epcot. The table-side cooking of the hibachi chefs at Teppan Edo is always entertaining. At Chefs de France, Remy from Ratatouille makes the rounds at lunch, surprising guests by hiding under a silver dome on a rolling serving cart. Visit Karamell-Kuche for delicious caramel treats!

'Ohana at the Polynesian has fun activities like limbo for kids, and the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue is always a great time for the whole family. For the ultimate dessert, order a Kitchen Sink at Beaches and Cream!

Come visit me again if your have more questions!
