    Julie Asked

Hi Amanda A. Since we're staying for 12 nights, I've decided on a split stay b/w Poly and BCR. Garden or lagoon view non-club rm. Which level / area of BCR should I ask for? Want to be close to epcot but will the Epcot fireworks wake DS5 and DD2.5 up?

Hi Julie! It's so good to hear from you again! You've definitely picked two fantastic resorts! You're going to love how close the Polynesian is to the Magic Kingdom and how convenient the Beach Club is to Epcot and Hollywood Studios.

While you can request a room at the Beach Club that's close to Epcot, I've found that if the room is not located close to the elevators or an outside exit, you could actually walk a lot longer to get to the park since many rooms are located down long and winding hallways. In my opinion, the best room locations at the Beach Club are those close to the elevators and the main lobby, which means you're also close to the restaurants and shop, the door to walk to Epcot, the boat to Hollywood Studios, the walkway to the bus stop, and the entrance to Stormalong Bay. Since you'll likely be pushing a stroller, a room close to the elevators and lobby would be really convenient for you.

In addition to requesting a room close to the elevators, I recommend you request one with a full balcony and a daybed, both of which, in my opinion, make the room feel more spacious. I've heard the nightly Illuminations fireworks from most room locations at the Beach Club, and they're certainly louder on the Epcot side of the resort. If your children are very light sleepers, it's possible the fireworks noise could wake them if you're staying in the rooms closest to Epcot. My kids have always been deep sleepers who were able to doze right through the noise, especially after an active day in the parks. If your children wake easily, try turning on the bathroom fan to provide some white noise to drown out any fireworks sounds.

I'd love to help if you have more questions! Just ask!
