I've always stayed at a disney resort, but this time we are planning to stay in a KOA outside Disney. Is the fastpass policy the same?

    Hi Trisha,

Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. It is always fun to try something new and having traveled quite a lot, my family often looks forward to a new experience. I hope yours brings lots of fun to your trip.

Even if you are not staying on property at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you will still be able to benefit from the FastPass+ perk. However, you will not be able to make your selections 60 days in advance. Instead, you can make them 30 days prior to your vacation. With the exception of the FastPass+ selection pre-booking date, all other aspects of the system are the same no matter where you stay.

You can book those selections online using the link above or by using the My Disney Experience mobile app. This app, if you do not already have it, is free and is a very handy planning tool prior to and while enjoying your Walt Disney World vacation. I love being able to have the park maps, restaurant menus, and character locations at my fingertips. You can also use it to find out up to the minute wait times on your favorite attractions.

I wish you a magical trip making all new memories to last a lifetime.
